Easy dropped scones recipe

When is cold and you are stuck inside the dropped scones are wonderful! Kids love them because they are small and parents love the fact they are so easy to make!

Ingredients:
100 g Self Raising Flour
50 g caster sugar
1 medium egg
4 x tbsp milk to mix
Pinch of salt
few drops lemon essence,(optional)

Mix flour, salt and sugar, add egg and gradually beat in enough milk to make a thick batter. Add the essence.
Cook them by dropping spoonfuls of the mixture on a moderately hot, well-greased frying pan.
Cook until the underside is golden brown and the top is covered with bubbles, about 3 minutes or so.
Turn and brown on the other side. Serve as you wish. We love them with jam.
Enjoy!

    1. The pancakes are made with plain flour and they are a lot thinner. Plus we put butter in them. ;)

    2. I never ever make flat pancakes that have no baking powder. I didn't know the English liked them flat :|
